Thank you for being here and for supporting me in making a life out of the thing I love most.

I’m Roos, a Dutch artist currently living in Australia, where I create my work from a tiny house that I’ve turned into my own little art studio.

I’ve always been creative, but for the past year and a half, I’ve been fully dedicating myself to painting. For me, art is much more than something that looks pretty. It’s my therapy and a way of turning memories, emotions and experiences from my life into something I can see, hold onto and occasionally stare at for far too long.

Almost every piece I create has a story behind it, even when the painting itself might seem completely random. I love that something deeply personal to me can become something someone else connects with. I don’t just want people to see my art and think it’s beautiful. I want them to feel something, recognise a part of their own story, or simply feel connected.

My dream is to see my art travel all around the world finding its way into homes, businesses and spaces I’ve never even seen myself. I can’t wait to see these little pieces of my world find new homes and become part of someone else’s story.
